WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS

Prawns don't need much — but they do need flavour. That's where Heavy Metal Beast does the heavy lifting. You get chilli heat, garlic, spice and crunch, all coating the prawns and caramelising on the grill.

Paired with soy and lemon, it balances salty, spicy and fresh.

Heavy Metal Prawns ingredients

INGREDIENTS:

  • Heavy Metal Beast - 3 tablespoon
  • 500gram Prawn - cleaned, tail on
  • Soy Sauce - 2 teaspoon
  • Spring onion - 1/4 cup, sliced
  • Lemon - sliced to serve
  • Salt - to taste

METHOD:

  1. Add Heavy Metal Beast, Soy Sauce, splash of Lemon Juice and pinch of salt in mixing bowl.
  2. Mix ingredient well to coat and set aside in fridge for 1 to 3 hours
  3. Heat BBQ grill to high heat
  4. Cook Prawns for approx 4 minutes (high heat) on each side or until cook through with a nice char
  5. Plate up Prawns in centre on bowl, dressed with spring onion and slice of lemon

HOW TO SERVE

Keep it simple and let the prawns do the talking.

  • Serve straight off the BBQ with lemon
  • Pair with flatbread or rice
  • Add a fresh salad or slaw to balance the heat
  • Perfect for BBQ spreads or quick dinners
